At PetCo, it is not only animal welfare that is important to us, but also the protection of our environment. We treat the resources of our planet with care. That is why we focus on high quality instead of cheap quantity. From the very beginning, the use of regional products has been our top priority. These are not only produced in Austria to a high quality standard, but can also be expertly processed locally. In this way, we promote the local economy and strengthen small, sustainable producers. Since day one, we have worked exclusively with production partners whose sustainability standards match our own.

A major advantage of our domestic production is the ability to keep transport routes short. We are an official ClimatePartner. This means that we are committed to keeping CO2 emissions low and also investing in certified climate protection projects. Most of our packaging materials are recyclable. The paper for the labels is made directly from recycled material.

Our innovative product development brings an exciting and promising approach to nature and climate protection in pet food production: our DOGS FOR FUTURE line supplies dog food based on insect protein. Compared to conventional protein sources, the production of insect dog food saves resources and produces fewer emissions. Thanks to the protein of the black soldier fly, this food for dogs provides plenty of unsaturated omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids as well as all essential amino acids. It is also easily digestible and a well-tolerated alternative for many allergy sufferers. Saving the world one bowl at a time can be so easy ... and tastes so good too!
